For this podcast, I chose Kris
Crummett, who is a producer, engineer and studio owner of Interlace Audio in
Portland, Oregon. I chose to do my research on Kris because not only has he
been the mastermind behind several albums that I’m very fond of, but his sonic
landscaping capabilities absolutely dominate those of producers for competing
bands in the same genre. For over 10 years, Kris Crummett has been able to inspire
and assist artists to create beautiful performances in the studio for him to
capture. His aptitude for driving these bands to yield great performances while
remaining transparent on the album is what ensures their repeat business, and
is why I never hesitate to pick up his latest release.
