Unity 3D [First Look]

My beautiful creation of only 2 hours.

I may/may not be 93% unsure of what any of this means.
Well, here it goes. Starting out in Unity, I'm greeted with a pretty intimidating interface. Lots of buttons, lots of technical words, and lots of menu options that only lead to more options. After a few hours or messing around and watching startup tutorials from the Walker Boys Studio webpage, I began the scary stuff-code writing. While I did take a  few C++ classes on programming, I only ever really reached beginning intermediate level - not to mention, it was years ago. And Unity runs off of C#, Java, and Boolean so I'm basically starting out with no knowledge of what I'm getting into. While I'm not a programmer and the ultimate goal of this is to have a product to accompany my sound, I figured it wouldn't hurt to know the basics. So...a few hours of basic Java coding tutorials later, and I've got a display that can count numbers from 1 to 10 AND a box that I can check/uncheck. Exciting. Fortunately, I've actually managed to get each and every practice script running without a problem (!!!), which was actually kind of odd. I'm not accustomed to things working on the first try (maybe this won't be such a dreadful experience?). Anyways, gotta catch my flight. Let's just pray that Unity functions the same in Chicago as it does in Orlando!

Unity 3D [Videogame Design]

I like to set goals. Setting goals helps you to have some type of reference for what you'd like to achieve. A great way to stick to those goals are sharing them with others in order for them to hold you accountable, so here's me doing just that.

Prometheus Trailer [Finished Audio]

Here's the trailer for the movie "Prometheus," for which I've stripped clean and redid all of the audio. Enjoy!

Prometheus Trailer [Redoing the Audio]

Here's my lastest assignment - redoing ALL of the audio for a trailer from the movie, "Prometheus." The trailer itself runs about 2:30, so I had a lot of work to do. You'd never realize how much work goes into such a seemingly small work like a movie trailer, let alone an entire feature-length film. To show you just how much effort I put in, I'll walk you through the process from start to finish. This could be another long post, so get ready to read.

Full Sail University [Presentation]

So a few weeks ago I was invited by my school, Full Sail University, to talk on behalf of the students here about what we do (apparently I was recommended by a teacher, which I was very appreciative of-I was one of only eight or nine presenters). I had the chance to give an exclusive presentation to future students about what it is that I do. I thought it would be neat to post up some pictures/videos up here, so I brought my camera...however, most of the pictures didn't turn out well. I did end up with a winner though, that displays not only my beautiful keynote presentation but also my brand new bow tie.

Interview with Serge Turnier

So here's an assignment for a class I just finished up, Art History. It was about the visual and how they relate to my industry (being audio production). The purpose was to interview a peer, classmate or industry professional on this topic. I had a chance to sit down with music producer Serge Turnier, otherwise known as Power Surge. Serge is a Haitian born music producer who has had the opportunity to work with artists such as J. Perry and many more. I put together a few questions in regards to how the visual arts is portrayed in and impacts the music industry. In order to make it a tad more visually appealing, I thought I'd include a couple images.
